Who are we:
Future Platforms are recruiting for our sister company, Twickets!
Twickets was created by music fan, Richard Davies, who made the simple observation that real fans don’t want to rip other fans off. When we have tickets we can no longer use, most of us don’t want to sell them for a profit. We just don’t want them to go to waste and are really happy if we can get our money back. So Richard set up Twickets as a service on Twitter, connecting fans and allowing them to trade with each other at strictly no more than face value.
Today, Twickets is the largest fan-to-fan marketplace for face value tickets and connects fans via both website and app (iOS and Android) across three continents. Thousands of tickets are listed every month for gigs, festivals, sports, comedy, theatre and the arts. We are growing rapidly, and have attracted support from the industry through our event partners, investors and the media. Our platform and technologies are constantly evolving as we strive to innovate and expand into new territories. We allow ticket resale both on a private basis and through integrations with artists, promoters, ticket agencies, sporting organisations and venues.
Our product consists of a number of user facing front end applications written in a variety of technologies (Angular, Android, iOS and static generated HTML), a core backend and NOSQL database, specialised services modules such as a reservation system, sales and order tracking, ticketing some of which have their own database. Our backend platform is a Java stack, using Spring, CXF, Spring boot, Cassandra, RabbitMQ and Postgres, all running on AWS. We deliver everything through web services (REST/JSON) to the frontend system.
